Ideas.

I think the hardest part of design is coming up with a good, well rounded, solid idea. I have days where ideas are just arising from all things I see, hear, smell, listen.... But other days where I am in a complete slump. I know i'm not the only one with this issue, so it is nothing new, but I know how annoying the struggle can be. Today I came across a quote by Chip Kidd, and it was as follows:
"Never fall in-love with an idea. They're whores. If the one you're with isn't doing the job, there's always, always, always another."
Reading this statement, I think, 'well , of course there's always another'. But are you ready to throw out an idea that you had a hard enough time thinking of? Or are you staying with that idea solely because you're scared you won't be able to come up with a more successful one?
